Ah Yuen Chinese Seafood Restaurant

489 King Georges Rd
Beverly Hills NSW 2209

Not the best photos - but a satisfying meal. We had 3 dishes and rice. All were simple and well made.

Steamed chicken - the oily sauce was a slight let down, but very tender meat.
Pork and 1000 year old egg congee - very very good.
Simple BBQ with plum sauce. Hard ot mess this up - it was tasty, and surprisingly lean thanks to the good meat.

Overall it was a little pricier than expected, but came with the usual complementary soup and desert. Good! 8/10

We tried take away from this place the day we were moving in. It is a staple of our Chinese friends (and consummate foodies), so that bodes well.

We had about 8 dishes, including seafood, meats, soups, noodle dishes, hainan chicken and rice and more. Every dish was nice and reasonably authentic. The price was reasonable too.

I have not seen the store or experienced the staff to comment on that, but for quick and very tasty take away - definitely recommended.

It sucks

We ordered a jungle curry and a beef noodle dish. Both were horrible. The meats were dried out and rubbery. The curry had no punch, the vegies weren't fresh and ... it was boring. The noodle dish smelt of dirty old oil, and tasted as if that was the primary sauce.

yuk!
